Ironman instant awning

Postby subi_man on Wed Oct 28, 2009 7:38 pm

I've been waiting months for this and it finally arrived. The Ironman instant awning - seems like a good thing, I put it up in the wind and it seems quite sturdy (it can self-support without the guy ropes ropes in calm conditions 8-) ). I was hoping to use it for weekends at the dam waterskiing with the kids, but that's looking unlikely at 7% capacity

Might have to go camping instead...

Cheers

I think you can get screened walls for this Ironman one, but I didn't bother for now.

I'm happy with the size (2x2.5m) and the price - $340 8-)

and thanks for the tip boycee

Word of warning!!! Not sure if it was the distributor or Ironman themselves. Distributor blamed Ironman. I ordered mine thru Tyrepower Clarkson. Told $295.00 maybe a frieght cost of approx $10-$15. Went to pick up and they tried charging $45+GST frieght. Got him down to $30, but not happy.
Not alot I could do seen as though the bastard had taken a $60.00 deposit. Got me.
Hope same thing doesn't happen to you but just a heads up.
Let me know how you go

I haven't heard too many stories of people NOT having to pay the $45 freight :(

Thanks for the warning ;) I have an invoice because had to pay $50 deposit aswell and on the invoice it says
Subtotal $295
Freight $0.00
Paid to Date $50
Balance Due $245

So i will be holding him to that otherwise there will be heated words :?
