The film is thin but they have been under coated and clear coated will be more durable than mitsubishi silver.

$400 isn't that bad when the diy kits are $129.
By the time you prep, muck up a few etc. thinking about it $400 is actually good!

Easy as to get them of one screw inside the handle then you just pop them out with a plastic tool then two screws that hold the window switch to take off done 5 to 10mins for all 4.

Fantastic job on the mods Tim. Pity we're not going to Robe next year would have liked to check out the hydro dipped trim panels.

i thought you shouldnt leave batteries paralleled unless on constant charge, dont they discharge into each other giving you 2 half batteries?

Yea they are the same age same battery and both are holding the same charge.
I have a little experience with these batteries they come from power supplys that we use.
Thanks for the comments guys this little project seems like it has taken months.

Mate, loving the wiring on the carpet panel, very tidy. If you get a chance would you be able to post a photo from a bit further away? I was trying to picture how you've got it all set up along the inside of the canopy but the close up shots don't show much of how it's mounted.
