does your compressor tank make much of a difference when airing up tyres time wise, was thinking of doing the same with 1 maybe 2 truck air tanks( small ones) does your compressor have to play catch up after the tank volumes been used(trying to fill tank and tyre to eg 40psi)?

That looks great johno. Ply looks good painted from what the pics show. Did you end up fixing it down to the tray or is it all just sitting on top?

Looking good johno the drawers have come up great. I have now finished the compressor set up and its working quite well the compressor does play catch up but I'm happy with the results.I can run a rattle gun of the set up but it is a bit slow.

I have a similar compressor set up chick_magnet.. basically my 15L air tank saves me all of one tyres worth of air up time. having said that, in the time it takes to move from one tyre to another, the tank is close to full again.. more tanks = less time .. i've been thinking of mounting a second one under the car body but am concerned about damaging them off road.

If I'm ever allowed to get a canopy I'm going to do a similar draw set up .. looks the goods johnno!

I am about to start a DIY roller drawer system similar to ratstriton, I will be using square steel tubing as the frame which will be welded together, Im not sure about weight factor just yet.
Has anyone from WA done a drawer job, I want to know if anyone can tell me where in Perth I can get decent roller systems, recessed drawer handles etc my local Bunnings doesnt have a great choice.

Thanks

Jeez when the pictures were loading I thought Dad had hijacked your thread with pics...no wonder he likes it  colour looks similar in photos too.

Black wheels FTW

Ok I have just ordered ultimate suspension and I can't wait to get it.
Why you may ask well the new tyres have shown up how bad the ironman suspension has become after our Easter trip to the boarder track.
When we were there the shocks were getting so hot i spent most of the trip bouncing of the springs and I dont think the shocks ever recovered now my ute just seams to bounce up the road then drive on the road.
With the 33s it has just made it feel even worse so looking forward to get ultimate suspension as everyone rates it highly here that has it :D

thanks mate :D I have ordered some sunnies for my trailer and I wanted to make sure they would also fit the Triton should I need another spare in the middle of nowhere. The guy at the tyre shop didnt have much of an idea so he has ordered 2 different offsets for me to try. Now I know that yours is +22 that gives me some confidence in which ones to try first :D

You'll love the Ultimate suspension.

Just realised that we have almost identical looking tritons.

Same colour, similar looking front bars, same rear bar (when I get mine fitted up), same dynamic rims, same snorkel, same suspension.

Only obvious difference is that I've got the Razorback canopy and not the ARB.

Like your style Rats! ;)

They both look the goods, a few more changes for mine to come when funds permit.

Ok had some good weather in the afternoon(bloody Melbourne weather) and nearly finished the suspension install.
I was a bit nervous about having a crack at it myself but all has gone really well ,even compressing the coil's wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
Here are some pics.

Good to see you could get started Rats, it looks like you have different Rear shocks, at least in the way that yours have steel covers where mine are a rubber boot cover.
