Rats Build

Ok another update to the tray I hate the look of silver of the alloy tray that's why I had it powder coated, but it left the tray silver and it was bugging the he'll out of me.
So options I had was to paint it black but I figured it would ware and look like poo.
So option 2 was rubber mate don't like that as it traps dirt and water underneath.
So option 3 was spray on liner I liked that option the best so I had to track down A do it yourself kit as I like doing most things myself and what I found was a kit called a raptor kit by upol.
A few things to do for prep I had to etch prime the alloy and rough up the powder coat then wipe it all down with wax and grease remover.
To apply it you can roll it or spray it on with a underbody spray gun I chose to spray it.
Here is the end result

Ok a update that doesn't involve the tray for a change. :D
I bought rotors and brake lines of ultimate a little while back with all the work I have been putting into the tray I haven't had chance to install them until today.
Started of with installing the rotors first problem I had was the old rotor was well and truly rusted on.
They are meant to have 8 mm thread in the rotors so you can screw bolts into the rotors and the bolts push against the hub and release the rotor.WRONG THEY DONT :x So i gave them a wack with a rubber hammer all that did was make me pi##ed off,so of to the net to find a way to release them. The answer i found was to put bolts through the bracket that holds the caliper on with two nuts lock one nut against the rotor tighten the other nut against the bracket then hold the nut that goes against the bracket and then turn the bolt that push against the rotor then pop the rotors comes off.

I think when I took of the steel rope and weighed it it was about 18 kgs and the rope was about 5kgs so I took off about 13kgs of the front of the triton. :D :D

Not only the rope, but changing the roller fairlead to an alloy hawse would save a fair bit of weight as well. 8-)

Yes the fairlead is heavy I was surprised how heavy it was.
another small update replaced my battery today

As recommended by steane and snooozy, seems like a good battery.
I also got my 33in muddy under the tray, tried once before when I had the arb bar but it wouldn't fit but it fits fine with the standard tow bar.
