i reckon my tub and canopy looks hot - but boy oh boy it has given me grief so far.

if i was doing it all again i would go this way for practicality, and now, looks as well.

Both those arses look good guys....... :? :? :? :? :? :? ummmm erh

and super practical. nice work.
This car is like a bad drug habit. It is taking all my money and time, my family are concerned, but new mods just feel sooooooo good.

Bit sad to hear that you sold the Tri mate. You were well up there as one of the more innovative Triton modifiers.

The new truck should be a lot of fun off-road 8-)

Make sure you bring it out on some NTN trips ;)

Hey guys,

Havent been onhere much lately, but thought id give a bit of an update on the current truck. Its a 98 GQ coil cab ute. Bought it last year as a weekender and with only minor mods of bald 35s, 4"lift and an exhaust.Since then have done a few mods with plenty more to come, I did all the turbo work and intercooler setup myself Using it as a tourer and a day tripper and work sometimes.... Trying to finish my mods for my month long trip to the cape in September.

Current mods

Steel ARB bullbar
GME UHF
Recaro drivers seat
Excedy Safari Tough clutch
Garret GT2871 turbo (currently 100rwkw @ 15psi, getting built to make 170rwkw on 35s)
Top mount cooler with thermo
3" straight through exhaust
GU 3lt airbox
Auto meter pyro and boost guages in custom gauge pod
Autron dual battery system
4" lift
5x 33x12.5x15 BFG KM1s on black sunnies
4x 35x12.5x15 Simex on black sunnies
IPF headlight lenses with 55w HID lights
Canvas canopy
Narva 225 converted to 75w HID
9500lbs winch (need to modify bullbar)
Bangin stereo that in im the process of installing
Some silly wizzbang alarm that annoys the sh*t outta me

To be completed

F&R air lockers
Snorkel
Water tank with pump
Aux diesel tank with transfer pump
Heat exchanger
LED light bar on roof
Modify and re powder coat tray
Side rails and steps
Passenger side recaro

Assuming they can maintain enough grip to hold the 100rwkw...

Looks good, can't imagine how well it'll flex 8-)

Yeah, friend's dad has got a turbo'd 4.5P and it's currently making 220kW at all four wheels. He could push it harder, but figures that 220 is good enough for a daily driver/tourer.

To be fair, my mate has an FTO with a twin-turbo Galant/Legnum motor shoved in there. Not sure, but I think it's got 250kW at the front wheels. In a car that weighs 1100kg. Anyone know what "torque steer" is?

Hey Tim. I saw your rig the other week turning onto Lewis road. Bloody hell it's looking good. Looks real tough! My canvas was done by a lady in upper gully J&J canvas. Was $850 fitted, pretty cheap IMO. I've had 3 mates get the same thing. Southerncross canvas wanted about $2000+
