Painted and fitted Baysie's (well they are mine and bought from.....you know what I mean  ) Bash plates today 8-)

I used two longer bolts in the middle where both plates overlap to make sure they stay on
They are a solid unit, I havent hit anything with the stock ones apart from long grass  and they were out of shape
Very pleased with the decision to get the good ones.

  Wife comes out while fitting and says 'can you get some of them for mine I keep hitting things with the plastic front' ..... its a Mazda 3  OK I said we will have to get some made up

Have added second battery today to run the fridge I bought.

I spent most of the day running wires here and there
After several hours it is completed and working like a charm.
I tested all the voltages and the solenoid switching on/off, all good :D

The redarc isolater

Wiring from the tub via the fuel filler neck and one wire to the engine bay to the Redarc and another into the back seat for a plug so when I am working the fridge will sit on the back seat where I can reach it

The Battery is a 100ah marine type, apparently it is in between a normal cranking battery and a deep cycle one and will charge relatively quickly

Mate I've had bad/slow internet connections for a while so couldn't open your thread with all the pics.

The missus must be a Triton widow with all the work you've done on the beast ;)

Looks good mate....throw up a couple of complete pics after it rains next time and she's clean  that's why Snowflake is white...we seem to have the same car care/washing regime

mmmmmmm 1.8C....perfect beer temp :D

Some good info from Slim on the headers....you game?
I hate to advocate drugs, sex, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they’ve always worked for me.

Where to start.... Yes the instructions are for the wiring of the redarc isolater :D
Had to make sure I got the correct cable on each terminal and the order to connect it ;)

Homer I dont bother washing the triton because the next day going to work it gets filthy again
I do drive through every puddle when it rains though, cleans underneath brilliantly.....

Missus is fine with me setting up the ute, we will all benefit when the camping trips are more organised and the food stays cold !

And of course the beers  When i hooked the fridge to the second battery it dropped to -2C, obviously gets more grunt than the cigarette lighter plug........

Headers, naaah, can't find anyone to retune the ECU as it is without going to those extremes plus i need a reliable ute to drive to work each day

Will have a couple more pics probably Monday of the finished battery box I was making today. Going to Melbourne tomorow which reminds me better make some phone calls

New tyres today :D

They are Goodyear Wrangler silent armour 245/75/17

Very quiet on the road and softer than the stockies.....

Got a great deal, Traded my unused spare and paid $900 for five tyres 8-)

They fill out the guards nicely, no more pram wheels
