Well...who is the modest one then...I wanted a look at Bruce on Saturday and he waved me off with a "ahhh it's way down the road".

Would've liked a first hand view 8-) you know I'm just following in Dad's footsteps with the rims and locker etc

You can see how much better it looks when you go back over the old pics of the canopy without the tint. Worthwhile improvement I reckon Joe. 8-)

My next project could be a steel tray. You up for that one Homer?

And thanks Steane, I was surprised just how much better it makes it look. My rear vision is totally [censored] now though  . I really need a reversing camera :?

hey Joe,

you have a 2 inch lift and also run the 265's like me.

how high is the top of the roof rack from the ground?

and is the basket easy to take on and off?

i need some extra capacity but here in sydney i go into way too many carparks with lower clearance heights.......

no hurry. just when you are walking past with a tape measure. :D

Just happened to be walking past with a tape measure snowy :D

The top of the (Thule) racks is about 1950mm and add about 140mm for the basket. It is easy as to take off and on (one person jobby). I manage to fit under every carpark in Brisbane I've been in so far. Nearly went into a carpark with the pod (see first picture) on once. Wife screaming in ear caused me to stop just in time :?

It scratches up a little, but no worse than my bar work. I also usually have my sunnies on when I go bush and would generally only leave the alloys on when i go to the beach.

Still working on it. I've had some good ideas from what people have done or are intending to do (thanks UAV) from the forum and will post up some info once I've finalised a few things. Trying to get that exposed panel work bit to look right is the hard bit

i can give u a hand with the timber work of it if u want, if u wanted a shiny gloss like (err same as polised floors in qlders) we used a 2 pack thing(brand and name escapes me) and we could drag the couch along it and the plastic feet on the couch would fall apart before marking the timber 8-) lol you could even do parquetry with a Mitsubishi symbol 8-) 8-)

Go for a tray Jo, sounds like I'm the only one who thinks they look better with em.
Steel toolbox is good for work and play, gonna get a canvas canopy made eventually for traveling.

Joe - love the look of your truck. VERY nice. Can you tell me what sort of canopy you put on the back? Some great ideas in there and useful too now that I am starting to feel the modding itch. :D

Thanks sen :D

I was lucky enough to find a genuine Mitsubishi canopy on ebay in the right (best  ) colour. I know that others have had some probs with the genuine ones, but mine has been great. I just need to sort out the dust sealing.

That is a brilliant idea Chicky 8-) ;)

If you want the Mitsi symbol inlaid in timber Joe I can do it :D ,

Might cost a bit though, you know freight, labour, timber, etc, etc ........

 Tell you what you can pick it up at this years Melbourne cup weekend Grampians trip :D

Pickup up some new rims (thanks dazmit  ) and shod them with Kumho KL78 AT 10 ply LT265/75/16s. Great value for money at only $212 a corner 8-) . Interesting to see how they go in the wet.
