Taken Mitsi Plunge (Challenger Build Up)

Postby D4Dazz on Tue Sep 07, 2010 11:47 am

I know it's not a Triton, but it's pretty darn close.......

After alot of twoing and froing I have know got my but into a new Challenger. After 6 years and 2 12o series Prados it was time for a change......a more afordable change. Anyway have taken delivery of my charcol grey LS Manual Challenger an d so far I love it. Not as reponsive or refined to what I'm used to but it was fantastic value for money. Had quite a long list of extra's added before delivery including ARB Color Coded Bar and Magnum winch, cargo barrier, tow bar, blue tooth and a tyre up grade to 32'" Cooper ST's. Since delivery I've my IPF extremes fitting and the the Prodigy brake controller wirred up

Next couple of weeks she is in for a suspension upgrade and UHF fit up.

Nice work- and glad you could come over.

Would like to learn a bit more about the differences between the Triton and Challenger.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything important, it's too late to stop reading it.

Thanks all for the kind words. The little lady should look a whole better in a couple fo weeks :D She's back to ARB to have the suspension done.

ML-VR08, with regards to the fuel economy, Mits quotes about 8.3lts/100k's from memory, however I not getting anywhere near that at the moment. Apart from only having 2500k's on the clock, the bar, winch and largers tyres have no doubt hurt full economy a fair bit.

i had a glance at a triton wagon as well, but after doing my research.....what can i say.....there is no forum for the challenger that could keep up with newtriton.net...... ;)

Worth considering if it's not too late... It's cheaper as well.

Quite a few forum members have the Ultimate gear fitted, IMO (I have it fitted) it would be hard to beat.

Welcome to Newtriton.net by the way Dazz.

I have had a quick look at some of the other set ups out there..i.e Ultimate, Billie/Kings ect and I;m struggling with change. Not to say that these other products are no good, from what I've read they are fantastic, but I've had OME on 2 Prado 120's and a GQ shorty and no issues. But I appreciate the advise anyway. It's good to get other opinions. :D
With the price I am lucky that my Mitsy dealer gives allot of work toi ARB and been able to secure a really good price ;)
