That would be great.

Just a question on the effect of the accessories fitted to the performance and fuel usage....

I have found so far, has little effect at all, I'm minus the winch and rack though.

How do you find that rack on long trips? Does it cause much drag and affect highway fuel usage? Is a big issue for me as we do big K's here.

Also the snorkel...... Does it really help? I have found in the past very little difference.

Sorry for so many questions!

Tony,

The fuel consumption is certainly not as good as the day it rolled out of the showroom. I can't say if the snorkel made a difference, but I reckon that the tyres have. The consumption dropped considerably when I put the Cooper ST's on. As soon as I get a set of rims for the original tyres and swap them back I can confirm this.

We just did a long trip up to Innamincka (4250km round trip) and fully loaded I was getting about 550km out of a full tank. Normally I get around 600km city driving compared to around 650km when new. Although we were on mainly dirt roads on the trip we were still running along at 100-110kph. Looking at the trip computer once you get over a 100kph the consuption really starts to creep up. Don't ask me about litres per 100km. I have to admit that until recently I haven't taken too much notice of the fuel consumption.

Depending how far you let the tank run down thats close to 13l/100.

Darryl you're a legend, even if you have just cost me the best part of a grand. :o Well I figure that'll be about the damage anyway.

Anyone want a rear step or the heavy duty 4 inch square boat anchor style towbar off an MN GLX-R? It's bloody strong looking and all that but won't come with any wiring on account of me having scraped it off...

Polished alloy will go nicely with the rest of the shiny shit on mine :D

I hope the new bar is heavy too oor I'll be back to Ultimate to ease off the rear springs a bit, I'll probably get another 2 inches of lift otherwise.

Banjora sorry for the hijack mate but you've gone and created a shopping frenzy with your mods...

Tony,

Here's some pictures of the second battery and the compressor.

I got the battery and box from the local Battery World store and got an auto electrician to wire it up with the Redarc 12V charger unit. I fitted a dual 12V outlet, a 300W 240V inverter and a battery meter at the back.

Because I already had the Anderson plug connected to the Main battery through a volt sensitive relay I decided to keep this second battery seperate from that circuit.

The battery is an AGM 100Ah. I found this more than adequate to keep our Waeco 50l dual zone fridge freezer at -12v for 24 hours without a problem.

Thanks for that^^^^. Still pondering the duel battery placement in mine. Removable from the tray may be the best way. Anderson plugs make it easier. At a risk, I'm now running the fridge from the cranking battery. Will get caught one day.

What size/rated cable cable have you used?

I'm no electrician so I couldn't tell you the exact size cable other than it is not the heavy cable that you might normally run. The advantage of the Redarc 12v-12v charger is that you can run a lighter cable because any voltage drop is not such an issue.

Probably paid more than the cost of Baysie's and others but it's a well designed 3pc kit and worth the extra dollars.

Looks like they go further back too? Do they have separate part numbers or is it an all in one sort of deal?
