Good job mate. I used to have one of the Vision X 'Tantrum' kits fitted to my last ride.

Keep up the good work.

Set of Kelly Safari TSR's 265/70/17 on back order approx waiting time was 4 weeks that was 4 weeks ago and now not expected till mid Sept..

good thing i wasnt planning on a bit of off road exploring up at Barrington tops this weekend.

looking at ML tub swap instead of tray and ML towbar and a trailer hopefully for the same price as a tray if not less

T3 DBA and Bendix upgrade 2something of October. while were on that 50k sound ok out of standard pads? its either a rock or the metal finger cutting into the rotor either way nice score mark in them. also Glassy looking patches possibly Warped?

and unfortunately i think that may be the end of my major works.

Just minor odd jobs after that :(

once thats complete must be time for a new Triton

I reckon 50k out of a set of pads is okay going.

You want to hope you never need a replacement in a hurry Jamo :o

I think for this reason I'd rather continue to run tyres that are a little more popular and easier to get hold of :)

Food for thought perhaps ;)

I've got a genuine ML towbar at home with all the mounting gear (well, I think its all. Can't remember exactly) Let me know if you want it and I'll bring it to Ultimate when you're down next ;)

See the build up of my old Triton here.

Sweet as, cd. Wasn't sure if that was on par or which side of par.

I never thought about it like that. Maybe the choice of having them on in a few days is better then the moneys saved.. Food considered. I have been thinking of the TSR's for a while and noes my chance to try them.

I'll pm you fraz, if a tray is still a possibility I'll make it suit the towbar  either way it will end up on the triton.

Anyone know of a rough stab of getting a tub painted? Metallic black? So exxy $$

Very nice, hard to find decent reviews of them. Lots of people compare them to duratracs and a lot of people say don't bother just get duratracs but I quite fancy the pattern and sidewalls so I figured I've give them a go and rate them for others

New kicks Kelly safari TSR 265/70/17 $320 a corner no trades Click to view larger picture

On other notes I've developed an intermittent squeal. Sounds like its coming out of both sides it changes with speed, it disappears with braking and braking squeal takes over, when not making a noise it comes back with low speed turning like into a car park. Any ideas?
I'm being wishful that its the brakes because they are getting sorted in a fortnight I'm hoping its not going to be too expensive although I'm preparing for the worst

My wife's car had similar to what you are saying.....turned out to be a small stone caught between the disc and backing cover/plate. Took the wheel off, gave the cover a push and the stone dropped too the driveway....problem solved.... :)

Or it could be your brake pads are getting low. There is usually a little metal tab attached to the pads that will rub against the disc as the pads wear down and make a noise to indicate that they need replacing.
Don't be alarmed if is this.......they are usually very premature in the warning.......still worth getting checked out though. ;)

how many "fingers" are there?? i have a few consistant grooves but they arent equally spaced. also very glassy Near mirror patches bit smaller then a 5c coin on the drivers side rotor. but the sound seems to be more prominent on from the passenger side.. checked no stones either :(

Usually only one per pad......if you have your wheel off you may be able to see it.....are your pads getting low?

don't mess around with brake noises, I assumed my squeal was dust or a rock right up to the point I lost pedal feel and heard the grinding noise of my rotor being grooved by the pad baking plate :? new rotors needed and she'd only done 28000ks.

Tyres are good, very happy with them still need a good run in the mud to see how they handle.

Squeeking was the brakes but I've found a vibration.

This vibration occurs under acceleration about 2500-3000 rpm. I like to play and find variables so far it's worse with no load and on level ground. I will play more to find more factors

Good spotting mate. They do like to do that from time to time. I have only seen a few actually blow off due to it. If it does it again i would recomend getting a t-bolt style clamp as they have bigger surface area to clamp the hose to the turbo.
