Liger's V6 GLXR.

Hi All,

First off I'd like to thank you guys for all the information and help provided to me, even if at time my questions were quite newbieish. Special thanks to Brett and Gutters for their help along the way!

I've taken all the advice I've gotten here and put it to use on my Triton as best as I could. Not the fanciest of builds I'd admit, but baby steps I reckon.

First off!

Next was subi_man's AUX cable install recommend to by fridgie.

Was a bit difficult as I do not posses the smallest and nimblest of hands but finally managed to get those tiny wires where they were supposed to go. It works a treat!

Next to go in were Baysie's bash plates. They went on right away no dramas, although I did manage to sheer a bolt and am in the process of removing it (got the extractor screw yesterday). Sprayed them "Planet Red" (hell of a name) to suit the Triton.

Can't believe how crap the stock bash plates were. Happy to have these ones installed. READY FOR THE TRAIL!

The biggest worry I've had with the Triton was the rust on the rear tray. Had a hell of a time with Zupps and mitsu so I decided to forget them and do it myself. Although I might have had luck with another dealer just did not have the time. So I took a power grinder to it and performed surgery myself. Quite a good result I reckon for my 1st time doing anything of the sort. Thanks to Nowforthe5th and homer for info about this.

Next up was removing Canopy and installing the hard cover and sports bar. Installed the rubber strips to water tight the tray as the gap from the tub and the hard cover was quite substantial. Cheers to Gutters and Brett for help here.

Next one was just a divider for the tray I decided to fabricate out of wood as I was quite sick of my groceries sliding all over the place and did not feel like paying 100+ for some plastic one. Decided to use existing holes in my tray floor to use an anchor points.

The work bench.

Even made a bed side table for the girlfriend with the leftover wood, IKEA! BAHhhhhhhhhhhh who needs em.

Well that is pretty much what I've done so far! Next up am looking to get the hard cover painted and looking to plastidip the rims black. New tyres and a bull bar are also in the line up, once I get enough coin ;)

Once again, thanks for all the help! If you see a red triton with a white hard cover, HONK!

Mine work pretty well, they are a genuine Mitsi product. Called something like "dust seal kit", not sure of the cost as they came with the canopy.

Good work Liger, glad to see your getting some use out of the hard lid, better on your truck than cluttering up my back yard.

Since my 1st trip taking the Ligermobile off road and on sand on Straddie.

Took a wrong turn in the camping sites on findlers beach, was reversing to make a 3 point turn.

The girlfriend: Stop Stop Stop! There is a tree behind you.

Me: Relax woman, I've got a rear view camera, I'll be sweet.

Nah thats a panel beater job. Unless your handy with the oxy torch I'd leave it alone.

Going to need some shrinking to get that back into shape.

Or you could get a dent puller and just bog the rest, but thats the dodgy way of going about it.

If you are anything like me mate you would have a go and then eventually send it to the panel beaters for a proper fix

Mmmmmm I am quite tempted to take a hammer to it. Cant make it worse than it already is I reckon. If and when I stuff it up then its to the panel beaters. Or can i make it worse :? ?

Not time for a flat tray! Its time for a rear bar 8-)

Got a dent in the exact same spot, just not quite as bad. How do you get a hammer behind it? It seems there is a extra piece of metal on the corners.

You won't. Needs an easybeat.
Chris

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
