As u can se from that picture Fridgie had also shown up at this point so i could retire the shitty phone camera
and the rest of the photos i will link directly from his photobucket account. I really hope all the links work haha
So removed the washer bottle and fog light plugs all stuff that was hanging down and cut the inner guards to size, Homer looks like hes doing something else while holding the guard
doing a few little touch ups to make sure its straigt, ofcourse i had to nick some of the steel behind the bumper too
damn u fridgie with the photos!
Then it was time to assemble the bar, how many guys does it take to put together a tube bar?
so many bolts, and no Homer you cannot tighten the front allen key bolt with a spanner no matter how hard u try
this place is turning into a gang hangout, what will the neighbors think?!?
a mock fitup, it can sit there without any bolts to make sure its all fitting good
bloody wavy tape doesn't go in a straight line
i'm gonna call bunnings and complain
Diablo also showed up and really helped out here, at some points he was the only guy working on the car
once everything was ready car was reversed out of shed to give it a hose down in the radiator area... so much crap in there... triton looks beasty without any bumper
Shes really starting to look the part now
Drilling the extra holes here... we will NOT mention the "incident" where a 12mm drillbit snagged and was snapped clean in half and lives could have been lost...
if there's no photos it didn't happen!!
Chicky shows up, "aren't ya finished yet" casual as always, but he did lend a hand eventually
, cheers mate
could not continue without taking a triton stubbie holder photo
rather hard to touch up the cut with the bar still attached, half assed attempt with a hacksaw blade
screw this i can cut just as close with the grinder
day wouldn't be complete without someone hurting themselves, yer i fell ass over into all the sharp shit in the garage trying to get something
Mmmm chips
black spray paint fixes everything! blacking out the gunmetal bits behind the bar
bit of gloss black to cover the bolts... will probably wear off in a week, looks ok in daylight
finished product
yep she's sturdy, i just had to do it
it seems i will need another smaller join bash plate as OL didn't seem to have one...
and airing down for our little covert night run at ormeau
good approach angle
damn led's look cool, poor chicky missed out again
such a charmer
wish i had a difflock
and the bar is now christened
and there are heaps more photos on fridgies album on that site, just click forward and back.
i think thats it?
and no i didn't go back through and spell check it or see if the write up makes sense, so i don't care
