So if you had no side air bags like the GLX (poverty pack) then it's posible to do the lift' & engineer it..... or
do the lift without engineering because you simply dont need it cuz you dont have the side bags to worry about
or am i getting this all wrong

As far as I know which isn't too much ;) body lift is fine without airbags but if you have airbags it needs engineering so I've been told

After a little bit more research i did manage to find some info on body lifts from the

VSB 14 NATIONAL CODE OF PRACTICE
for
LIGHT VEHICLE CONSTRUCTION
and
MODIFICATION

but nothing was mentioned about airbags' The rules & reg's mayby different in each state (as it usally is) so in the

end if you have a 2" suspension lift and want to put a body lift in then it sounds

like it needs to be engineered cuz you have gone or will go above the 50mm limit' tyre size included.

By my understanding....It's all so clear now

Has GLX Truck Truck provided anyone with more details of fitting the 50mm body lift to the dual cab?

Just spoke to suncorp said they will cover and legal mod. In qld this means 2in sus and 2in body. Must be engineered and road worthied

How much do you think would have to be done to do just a 25mm lift? With your experience of doing your 2" would you have to do less to do a 1" or is it all the same

Awesome write up. I've just found this! Done a 3" lift on mine (in UK) but steering column is fouling firewall in engine bay so took to google and found this! Will get on with a bracket to modify it. My biggest problem now is that I have realised I left out the rubber mount between the lift and the chassis. Does that mean I'm going to get excess road noise? Can refit it easy enough as truck doesn't have engine refitted to it yet.
