As you can see I have had some deliveries in the past couple of weeks and with my urgent winch topic the other day I bet u can guess which went in first!

Took a bit and I still have to turn the engage leaver around.
I bought the winch about 3 weeks ago and had it sitting in the back of the tri since then. Installed it yesterday but didn't get a controller with it! So off I went this arvo to pick up the controller and replace the cable for the rope!

The ultimate suspension goes in weds. Am paying my mechanic. I figured i would leave him with the headache. An for $300 I don't care. Includes the balance too!

Then hopefully I can get a weekend with mattz and steane before the HC trip and Have a breather fitting day! :D

Here it is!!! The 2" lift from ultimate is in! Went in last weds. I ended up paying my mechanic to do it. He did the suspension, braided brake lines and the tailshaft spacer! I figured give him the headache of it all!!!

So I probably should PM sej about this one  But does anyone cut an polish their tri. What do you use?

I am wondering cause I'm not that knowledgable on the paints and I hear that if you have metallic or clear coat on top then you can't just cut and polish it??

Got a couple DECENT scratches to see if I can get them out!

I used a Meguiars product on the weekend. I think it is called scratchx 2.0 or something to that effect. It is a scratch and swirl remover that appears to be pretty mild. It seems to have disappeared most of the pinstripes I worked on but I ended up doing some of them several times before they were gone. No damage to the clear or the metallic that I can pick so far although I've not been in any good sunlight yet.

I've now ordered two similar products made by poorboys from waxit.com.au - I'm hoping they might polish off the rest of the scratches that I didn't disappear yet, and the ones I didn't even start on so far.

^^^^ correct.
Íf you love that car (sorry..) or even value it, Meguires is THE stuff to use. Every product with their name is good ;)

I'm gonna be the devils advocate. I don't think you can buy any really good car care products off the shelf.

I use Zaino products. Really good stuff IMO. Paint cleaner / swirl remover, then their Z2 Pro wax with hardener. Lasts about 18 mths.

Can buy it online from Zaino Aus.

Expensive, but it lasts a while.

I'd go for the US brands that the car detail guys use, so Zaino, Poorboys etc. There are quite a few, most will be better than the crap on the shelf at Supercheap.
