If you bolt it up underneath she will never know
& no probs with you getting the tank either, first in first served ;)

Haha true mate!! Will just have to wack it up quickly!! Might drop by if I have time! Me an the mrs are trying to make it a day trip so to make more than just getting the tank...

Thanks steane! There are some top tritons on here and some of the mods just keep giving me ideas!!!

With the idea from Ratstriton I mounted my aircompressor behind the rear seat on the weekend!
Think I'm going to have to add the dual battery soon too. But going to have put it in the engine bay as much as I didn't want to.

As you can see I have the necessities also kept behind the seat

Does anyone know if it possible to put the aux battery there in a glxr? I'm assuming you can't because te space is taken by the rear window that comes down?!

I haven't tried yet but you might go close to fitting one of those remco slimline betteries in there - they're only 4 inches thick so could be a goer?

the plastic moulding is actually quite a lot thicker than it needs to be.

Installed my long range tank last night!!! Fairly easy except the breather hose is too short. Bought one tonight and will do it this week some stage.

Anyone else have there distance til empty go down but (obviously)the fuel gauge doesn't? I thought it worked off your fuel gauge levels?

Re the distance to empty, mine resets at about a quarter tank from 50 ks to 210. Also the economy reading is slightly out due to this also...

Remember mine is petrol.... But on filling 110 liters (so there is 15 still in tank) It says around 560 - 590. It then resets when at quarter of a tank back to 230 or so. Most tanks city driving mix last 750 - 790 on the odo. Trip from Syd was 1100 on the odo.

I finished my battery install on the weekend, i was able to fit a 10" in with a bit of engine bay manipulation.

im up to 900 now with a quarter tank left, see how long that lasts :)

So update:
After installing the Long Range Tank i didnt install a long enough breather hose SO finally bought one and fitted it on Wednesday, also while i was under there I noticed the drain bolt wasnt done up entirely! ... Great I been leaking fuel for the past week an half!
Also put a coating of rust proofing/reversing on the tank, figured it wouldn't hurt.

Also finally screwed the compressor switch down, copied that one off fridgie!

Picked up an Avenger Mako 9500 Rope winch, just waiting to install it.
Picking up my side steps tomorrow.
Ordered my Ultimate suspension with braided brake lines.
Ordered my breather kit.

Thats probably about it then for a while, funds have hit rock bottom.

Although next on the list will be
dual battery
canopy
homemade draw system
fridge

Hopefully i can get that lot in before my big trip next year... see how that goes!

Will throw up some pics as i go with the next few items to be installed!!!!!
