After waiting the obligatory 6 weeks, ARB rear bar goes on next week... (I had no idea how much I used the towbar and rear step til I don't have it!!)

And then the week after, stay tuned for an awesome surprise! Travelling to Melbs for a very cool install

Baha ha ha ha ha ha ha

I kept telling the sales guy at the dealership that the after sales service was crap, and that is why I keep taking my car elsewhere for servicing and other bits n pieces, but he assured me that it's all better now...

I had the car booked in for it's 1500 service today (that's another long story trying to get that done), and the service was also linking with getting my ARB rear step tow bar fitted as part of the new car sale. All was good, my sales guy had tee'd it all up and checked with the servicing team that it's all good to go and he got the nod.

Dropped off the car this morning being told, give us the day and see you at 4 to pick up!

In I rock at 4:15 to pick up the car, all serviced and ready to go, and the service chick proudly said that they also fitted the tow bar so all is good to go. The keys are in it, just proceed down the ramp and off I go! as I walked towards the car, I noted that I couldn't see any side bars from the ARB bar, and then went to the back of the car to see a standard step and little tow bar sticking out from underneath it!

Sure enough, I went back into the new car show room and found my sales guy and asked..
"You know the ARB bar that I paid $1800 for?"
"yes"? he replied...
"Well... they fitted the wrong tow bar to my car, that's not an ARB bar"
"Shit..." was his single word response.

Funny part is that he then called the supplier/fitting team for the ARB bar, and they've got it sitting in their store room awaiting the call from the service department to fit it!!!

He couldn't be more apologetic, but now clearly can see why the after sales service is crap, and why I don't use them.

Needless to say, it's now booked in (for sure) for an ARB bar to be fitted... Going to have a triton demonstrator with a full tank of fuel for the day they have the car.

Sales team... Top notch, can't fault them, but after sales team...

Gadget's Build

SO the installs on this Tri have been a bit slower... REALLY taking my time and researching everything properly. I got a bit trapped with 'Ariel' the red tri, having to choose all of the parts pre delivery being a leased vehicle!!
.
Thanks to some nice words of encouragement, I installed the front LED bar myself the other day. Big Red LED bar. SO far, very happy with results. Single row 20" LED bar

That photo is a perfect example of what I was saying today. That bar doesn't anywhere near as long in real life. Actually looks quite good. ;)

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?
