Gadget's Build

Postby GadgetMN on Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:22 am

Well... now that it's here, I can start my mild slow and costly build up...

I drove my new MY12 triton off the lot at 19:30 one night after what was a long and somewhat painful process, but thanks to Kitty and her contacts, it was made a little bit simpler...

SO what did we do then? off to Brisbane for the fortnight, after being told what to and what not to do in the first 1500km's...

Then first mod was the bash plates... Cheers Mitch!

And from here, I'm getting my ARB tow bar fitted early November, and have a couple of other custom mods to sort out soon...

From the sounds of it Gadget you have an idea of how deep your pockets may need to be

I wish my ml was new again.... I'd have a heap of spare cash today ;) but no stories to go with it 8-)

Good luck with all your future mods. look forward to seeing them! Even though it is a MN :P

All sorted!
I feel like more of a real 4WD each addition...
No pics of the install, as it was part of the lease arrangements so all done and paid for prior to sale!
Thanks ARB... very happy with the result...

Ariel is at the auto electrician today... Lots of mods happening, can't wait to pick her up this afternoon!
Too much stuff for me to comfortably self install... Rather pay to have it done once and done right than to pay for repairs when I screw it up!!

It's been one hell of a year so far and heaps done, so I figured time for an update!
So after the surgery and wedding in Feb-May, it was back to work... It's been a nasty winter down here, and the presentations to the Emergency Dept. reflected that... Got a promotion at the ennd of June, so working back on day shift, but getting a lot more experience!
Married life is good fun, although I haven't worn my wedding ring yet... managed to dislocate my finger 2 weeks before it!!
Heaps has happened to the Triton, and even an addition of my Tri-Trailer, which I've been working on with a mate for the last 8ish months... I know you'll all have a groan, but I enjoy it... So here it is!

Starting with the installed CB... Click to view larger picture

I'm torn... I'm not getting as much use out of my tri trailer as I thought I would (not as much as I did with my Crewman one anyhows) and I'm contemplating selling it. I put a lot of work into it, and it also finishes off the car really well... BUT it's taking up space and not getting used.

Would anyone be interested? looking at $2k (not incl racks, and a different tool box on the front)...

So... A lot has happened in the last 12 months!
With the birth of bub, a bit f growing up was done... The tri trailer is gone, and due to the headaches and ongoing phone calls back and forth from dealer to supplier to MMAL and round and round again, tomorrow I pick up my MY14 GLXR in charcoal... NOT RED

So I get to start the build up all over again. Quite a few things I'm doing differently.
