Hi, here are some pictures of the mid mounts for my bash plates, I had one side held on with some fencing wire for a few weeks, and it did the job. I can't weld on the flat let alone vertically and I couldn't be bothered taking it somewhere to get welded so I decided to bolt some new mounts on.
I bought some 3mm angle plate and some high tensile M8 bolts, I cut and ground the 1.5 mounts left and drilled some 10mm holes. I had 25mm long bolts which were too long, I spaced them out with washers, 20mm would be better.
Here are some pictures.
Holes drilled, after a 4mm pilot hole was drilled through the angle and mounting point for better accuracy. This side has the holes 18mm in from the edge, the other side was 12mm in and it was better.
These mounts are now solid.
Bolted on
Looking at the back, I could have cut the angle down.
