There is an add on Gumtree at present offering recovery points for various vehicles including Triton. Search for 4wd recovery in Welshpool WA.

Tried to post link but couldn't do it using iphone......

Richard (Adventure Products) seems to respond quicker to email or a phone message. I think the site is still under development.. had been for a while. The points are made for the Triton, but also fit my Challenger. I sent Cowboy Dave the installation instructions if anyone wants them.

interesting... these are the same recovery points sold through Ultimate 4WD store in Perth, don't remember the price I was quoted, but seems a lot of dosh for a couple of lumps of steel. I did a 4WD course with Richard a few weeks back and he never mentioned them when we were talking about recovering vehicles. Might see if he does them cheaper seeing as I attended one of his courses 8-)

and yeh, when I was at Ultimate, we had a look at how they fit up, and with the bracket for the nudge bar, there was no way they would have fitted.

Funny you should say that cause when I spoke to Richard on the phone he asked me what bar I had. I was looking at an Ironman at that point, but he said it wouldn't fit. Seems limited options with the points... he advised I get an arb. Deluxe arb getting fitted now, then will install the points... hope they work

RumC - the price can vary depending on where you source it from. I've heard TJM can be cheaper than ARB. I'm getting mine fitted at a 4x4 place $2200 fitted with fog.
Jay - the points use one existing hole, then you drill 2 others. Honestly hadn't thought about rust proofing, but I'd assume you'd treat the holes once you'd drilled them.

Lads,

I've installed a GLXR rear step on my MY15 GLX and have now had to remove my factory recovery hook as it doesn't fit. Is there any other options other than a tow bar that can be used with the factory step?

Not that I'm aware of.
Most people have a tow bar and use that with a hitch, so I doubt there is much demand for one either.

A guy in wa does tow points that bolt through from chassis. Not cheap but superbly strong with high tensile bolts. Fitted and fantastic
