Hi,
I have just brought some second hand genuine Mitsubishi clamp on style roof racks. I was hoping I could get some position dimensions of someone who has these installed. Also any tips on installing the so they stay tight. The clamp is tensioned by a lever on the inside face of the rack.

Should be made by Thule mate so might be worth a look on their website for instructions?

Could anyone provide any pros/cons/advice as to which of the following two roof racks I should go for? I want to be able to mount a roof rack cage on it.

I only plan to use it to carry light things e.g. swag, some luggage, a shovel. Nothing more than a total of ~20kg.
It's just there so I can free up some room in the tub.
