Tigerz Winch and Ironman Bar

Postby Mongrel on Tue Apr 30, 2013 11:42 am

Hey all,

So Tigerz have offered me a cool deal on a 9000lb winch and I am just wondering if there is any issues fitting it to the Ironman Deluxe Commercial bar?

Cheers

No.

There is a standard set of dimensions for bolt holes which is used by just about all winch and bar manufacturers.

On the Triton it is sometimes necessary to trim the plastic bar cover a little to accommodate the clutch lever but the Ironman bar has quite a lot of adjustment built in with slotted holes so this can also be used to get things positioned correctly.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Sweet!! Thanks mate.

I will run with it then. 9000lb Grande winch with Dyneema, plus a high lift jack for $499. Gotta be happy!!

Morning guys n gals

After coming unstuck on Mount Sunday last weekend I figured it was time to add a little insurance to my mn.

I've ordered the Ironman Deluxe Bar and can get my hands on a 12000lb Tigerz11 Grande. Anybody fitted this combo? Any issues? I know the bars only rated for a 9500lb but its not a comp rig nor a 3T cruiser so I doubt I'll ever stress it to the max

Cheers Hammy

Hammy, I recall that snowman put in a bigger winch and had a few problems but fitted eventually. That was ARB bar and another brand of winch though. I'm sure there have been others.

In fact, here's a search that got quite a few hits. Read away.
