I looked at the TJM side rails and steps but couldn't justify the cost and weight penalty. They do look good and would save some panel damage if you drive in that sort of country where logs can flick up.
The TJM man told me they isn't much clearance from the flares and extreme offroading will cause flex in the side rails and possible damage to the flares.
The price looked similar to what I was quoted last month, and I jumped and bought a steel bar as steel prices are on the rise with recent iron price rises to be passed on and a falling Australian dollar.
