Other model canopy on MN

Has anyone ever looked at fitting a canopy from another make or model vehicle on to a duel cab MN tub?

Probably because he might have access to a canopy from another make/model at a much lower cost than the MN canopy.

Just my personal position, but I really hate threads like this where the the OP doesn't give all the necessary information. That said, no two tubs from different makes or models are ever the same, so making it fit will require either a master fibreglasser or body builder. In either case the result is going to be a compromise, or ugly, or both.

Reason being, I am looking for a second hand canopy to fit to the ute. All the ones I see for MN Tritons second hand are $1500 odd and you can get other canopy's for other vehicles for a lot less. It is only going to be used on occasions so cant be bothered spending $1500.

They do come up, from time to time, at much lower prices.

You just have to keep your eye out here and places like Gumtree, Ebay and the like.
