Roof rack tray that doesnt need cross bars

Hi,

I'm after a roof tray/cage for my alpha canopy.
Does anyone know if there are any that don't need to be mounted to cross bars?

My canopy has rails (front to back) and then cross bars/roof racks across the rails. I hoping to get a roof tray to mount direct to the rails if possible to keep it down a bit lower than mounting it on the roof racks which are on the rails.

Any advice would be great,
