Yip, look good AC. Only thing I'd say, is that they don't look quite wide enough - eg;, if ya slide sideways into a bank on a slippery track, you;re still gonna do a fair bit of door & flare damage.......

Could be just the photo angle though - hope ya know what I mean there.

Hey AC can you jack off them and what are they worth mate :-) :-)
Also can you get a pic of how far they come out, are they level with the flares cause as HC said they don't look like they come out enough :-)

Very interested in the cost and if they are wide enough AC.

There was a mob up in QLD that was willing to develop a set for us but no one put their hand up :(

Are they mounted external to the chassis?

Hi guys.. the sliders cost $880.. They sit out level with the flares so they offer plenty of protection.. they are tucked up under the sills so you retain max ground clearance and run the whole way from behind front mud flap to end of sill in front of rear tyre.. well protected.. they mount directly to the chassis in 3 places with reinforced brackets so you can jack of them etc.. they were custom made but Hugh now has the drawings for them so is able to produce more.. the workmanship is of high quality.. Hugh races comp trucks so he knows his stuff.. HAZZARD ENGINEERING - HUGH DUNBAR - 0407 395 069.... ill post some better pics when i get a chance..... 8-) 8-) 8-)

I wonder if he'd pass on the drawings for a price? If not I doubt shipping would be to prohibitive from there perhaps us sydney folk should do a group buy and save on some shipping.

Are they bolt on so we can fit ourselves? Also is it wide enough for a decent step?

We need to PM Cyber!

He fabbed up some great looking stainless steps.
Would have to be cheaper if they were steel, and we're helping out a fellow triton owner.

He already has a triton to get the angles and distances off , we would have to decide WHAT WE WANTED as you wouldn't want each step to be a custom job.

Cheers

4wd, there's a massive difference between steps and sliders. These mount to the chassis and are strong enough to hold the weight of the car without bending or damaging the body so you not only get protection but you also get a much larger area to use a hi lift.

Oh I know the difference, and I have sent Cyber a PM with pics of what we would be chasing (sliders).

I'm sure anyone with the skills to do his side steps could do a good job on sliders. In fact anyone with decent welding skills could- shame my welding sucks :o

I'm keen as.

Paj sills have scars (had sliders ordered when it happened), happens too easily, especially with the longer wheelbase- not keen to do this to the new truck.

Hey AB.. they are a bolt on job.. i can stand on my sliders and load the rack.. he can also fabricate them with a checkerplate step on them for a bit extra(with the step the round tubing has to sit parallel to the ground-mine angle upwards) 8-)

Do you think you could post some pics of the mounting brackets for the sliders?

I'm gonna knock up a set for mine.
