Challenger parts interchangeable parts with the triton ???

Postby viking shippy on Sat Jun 29, 2013 7:30 am

Hi fellas
I was looking at a challenger the one with the similar front end to the triton when I saw... the head lights wow..cool..and thought will these projector lenses fit my truck..
Their must be other interchangeable parts also...
I'm finding a few parts showing up in wreckers and the like ..
.what I'd like to know has anyone got info or an experience in swapping some of the better challenger parts onto the triton...
I swear the headlights are of an identical shape and size..
Cheers vs

Someone on here mentioned that the Challenger bonnet and guards are slightly longer than the Triton. In saying that it still may be possible, best bet would be to get one and try it?
Cheers,

I know that the power window master switch does not work, it looks identical but the plug is different.

Thread moved out of VMN's sponsor's area and into exterior mods.

The headlights have been covered before. Pretty sure the plastic that sits between the lights and bumper is different if I remember previous posts correctly. Makes it a big job.

Yep- front bumper and grill is different, all steel bits the same- guards and bonnet

so you would need the headlights, bumper and grill.

new parts from mitsubishi were $500 per light and another $1000 for the bumper and grill.
That was last time I checker when the challenger first came out in 2010

oh and that was fro the ML triton- the ML and MN triton are also different around the bumper section, so conceivably the challenger stuff "may" fit the MN

How about rims? I might be interested in swapping the 17" alloy rims on my Challenger for some 16" alloy rims if anyone is keen...

But not all of them, right? And by that I mean the older model Triton's rims won't fit the PB Challenger due to offset?

I don't know much about the Tritons I'm sorry... I've got a 2010 PB Challenger, so do rims from any Triton from 2010 fit?

Any of the current triton alloy rims (from 2007) will be interchangeable

all have the same offset (+38)

only size is different 16x7, 17x7, 17x7.5

BTW- this means anything in the wheel and offset bible will interchange with the challenger- ergo- it fits the triton it will fit the challenger ;)

No worries mate I'm never able to say I told you so at home so it's nice to occasionally get a chance on here.

Anyway I'm not sure that RodEddy, who ordered the bits, has posted up to say whether it definitely fits. I am keen to know though as this may provide a way to mount a 7 inch tablet above the double din unit in mine.
