Thanks for that. I stumbled on it myself going through some of the other posts. It will take a bit of digesting. Thanks again.

Spot on champ, good find and thanks a million for sharing.
Looking at the rear axle specs, re; oil level it seems correct that the level does indeed sit below that of the filler plug hole :o

Yeah and do they still tell you to test it by sticking an allen key in through the hole?

One Techo I spoke to said that factory fill is around 30-40mm below filler hole and another said you can fill it to the bottom, I asked if there was any harm in filling it to the bottom and he said all would be good.
Just out of curiosity do the rear wheel bearings rely on the diff oil for lubrication or are they a greasable set up, and are self reliant, might explain why the diff oil sits at a lower level

I've had a quick look through the manual but can't seem to find anything - probably looking in the wrong place - but does anyone know how to get rid of the little spanner icon on the dash after you have serviced it? I'm guessing the dealer usually does it.

I must thank you guys for finding these manuals online , but does anybody know if there is an Aussie version kicking around? I had a close look at the electrical section and i think they are all left hand drive diagrams. Ebay does have an MQ manual in CD format but only covers the 4D56. I'll see the Mitsu website has anything on it as well
