Yep, have been using it since my MQ was new. A bottle every 5000 klms.

From what I understand about the new aluminium block and the location of the dpf, it warms up quick enough to ensure longevity of the dpf. It may be something completely unnecessary.. can anyone confirm this?

Penrite DPF cleaner additive

Postby kjk888 on Sun Dec 04, 2016 4:24 pm

Hi guys,
Just wanted to put it out there in the MQ forums that I have recently put a full bottle of the Penrite DOF cleaner in from a near empty tank. So far I've noticed no difference, I have travelled 250kms with a range expected of 500 left (3/4) of a tank.
Has anyone else tried this?
I don't think this was necessary thanks to the engineers moving the DPF filter closer to the engine and in the engine bay with the extra heat.
I'll keep you posted after I've finished this tank of fuel.
Btw it's an 04/16 MQ GLS 15,000kms.

What kind of mileage do you get? Just thought I'd see if it makes any real world difference

Don't use it, I think it cooks dpf sensors

At least mine failed after using 3 bottles over 20000km

Still using it after 50,000klms, with no sensor problems and have not yet seen the re gen light.

Have not compared fuel usage, only using it to hopefully prevent any dpf issues.

I've always used and trusted Penrite products and I guess only time will tell if it is doing what it claims.
