OLD MAN EMU SUSPENSION ON THE MQ

Postby sjf09 on Tue May 17, 2016 7:47 pm

Would love to hear if anyone has put the OLD MAN EMU kit on their MQ, or if you have any reviews or feedback on the others in the market. Im looking for a "real world" review, rather than the companys marketing line. Im chasing comfort in the ride, rather than load capacity. I have a ARB Summit Bar and ARB Canopy, and carry stuff all load.

They have the medium sus which is the 'comfort' spring.

Ran Ultimate in my MN and it was great,Went with OME in the MQ,they appear to have done a lot of R+D and the kit suits it nicely IMO,although it doesn't offer a full 2" lift I got nearly 30mm over standard height including the extra weight from the bar work winch and baseplate.
Handles a lot better on the blacktop and a recent trip up the high country proved its capabilities off-road,so yeah I'm happy with it,there are a couple of options I went with 300kg constant which I can add a leaf later on if needed
Believe all ya see and half what ya hear

I have the old man emu 2 inch lift in my md exceed dual cab I have the 150 rated each springs in front for to hold bulbar and winch and also I have the 600kg leafs in back for constant load but atm I donbt have constant load
so at from standing start to 15 km/h I get vibration but after that it seems to b fine so far

I am putting 33 inch mud tyres on it soon to see if it makes any better
