MQ Exceed Super Select II help

Postby bennypage on Mon Jul 25, 2016 2:47 pm

Hi guys.

I have been off road a few times now but have found that getting into 4Hlc and 4Llc a little tricky. I am aware that when going below 4H you need to be stationary and in neutral. However I find that even after doing this its a bit hit and miss that it will engage in and out of these modes. Sometimes going into drive and back to neutral help but more often then not I have to actually roll forward in drive a little bit and then try again. Could I be doing something wrong? Same issue sometimes getting the rear diff locker to engage as well. Steering must be straight also I have read in the manual.

Cheers for any advice.

It's called the Mitsi shuffle. One step back, one step forward, repeat. Been the same for 25 years although the old rod and cable Pajeros you could coax in even on the move. The newer electronic ones are too smart - if you don't stop and go into neutral they simply refuse to co-operate.

You'll get the hang of it after a while.

If work is so terrific, why do they have to pay us to do it?

Jiggle steering a little left to right can help.
