GLS Steering wheel peeling [emoji53]

Has anyone else got issues with their steering wheel peeling, I've just hit 10k and noticed it just starting at the 10 to 12 position - either side of the join there.

I would be insisting on a replacement, No Ifs or Buts, :o I will have to check mine out although I always run a Leather steering wheel cover, feels better and offers a bit more protection from the bloody sun.
Just out of curiosity is that where your thumbs regularly sit,

Just had approval for new wheel from Mitsubishi for similar on 2013 MN. Apparently the new one is coming from Japan! And a new gear stick knob while they are at it.
My dealer is pretty good on the warranty stuff. Good thing as it's been back a few times.

Stop playing with your knob and you wont wear it out.

I'd say it's more the heel of my hand but I don't drive with filthy tradie hands so shouldn't e this quick to wear. I'll take it up with the stealer !

Mine was the same, always drive with clean hands.
Dealer replaced it under warranty.
The leather is different on my replacement from the original one, it's more "luxurious".
Not sure if there is a difference or not but it's like I've been given an exceed steering wheel, it's all I can think cause it's 100% different.
So much nicer.

I do drive with dirty tradie hands every day and my leather is still holding strong after 65k kms and 3 and a half years. Mayby a good coating of dust and grime is all thats needed to keep them in good nic
