how to remove switch blanks from instrument panel

Postby Kiwi.mark on Thu Sep 01, 2016 8:50 pm

Hi, has anyone removed either the drivers side or center instrument panel 'switch blanks' to install switches etc. How did you do it? Tips and suggestions please, pics would be great as well. Thanks

Centre switches can be reached by dropping the glove box lid down to the floor and coming in from the right hand side. Pop the big square panel out then you can move along popping the blanks out from behind. No need to dismantle the dash. The drivers side I removed the panels with a plastic trim removal tool

I nearly did exactly the same thing, but for a change was back on a PC and noticed where it was. Now that you've deleted that he'll probably come back and say it was an MN.

It's a bit of a trap if you just hit the "new posts" tab, as you have to look closely at the header to see where the question is posted.
