Why Is Club Cab Price = Dual Cab Price?

Postby mk99 on Wed Mar 08, 2017 7:26 pm

Am I missing something? GLX club cab seems to be around the same price as a GLS dual cab. Surely club cab is lower speced, no super select, less sheet metal... Any ideas?

Supply and demand competition in the duel cab market making them attractive to potential buyers of other 5 seat vehicles . Single cab club cab bought by tradies ect so if you need the bigger load space bend over and pay :)

Yep, club cab are uncommon and are purchased by people who "need" them and therefore the price for them is okay.

Dual cab much more readily available.

I have it on good authority that the typical 'club' driver (pic below) isn't great at numbers

My issue with club cabs are that they don't have a GLS or Exceed version... I can't see why they have to miss out on Super Select...

Was going to get a clubby, but TBH MN club cabs are super ugly, and as you say just as dear if not dearer than a dually by the time you get a decent tray on them.

Next ute WILL be a club cab of some sort though.

See NZ gets the manual rear diff lock on the GLX as well as keeping the 5 year or 130,000km warranty 10 year 160,000km warranty on drivetrain that we ones had

If you want to be different, you will pay for it.

Actually, the above applies to a lot things in life and in different contexts.

Does NZ get the 2.4 engine or the 2.5? At least they now do a GLX+ with a style sides, not to sure if it auto only or both. Mind you i do like the vinyl floors but would like the GLS suspension set up rather than the HD on the GLX. It think the GLX+ club cab auto is now about the same price as the duel cab GLX+ auto
