MQ Dual Cab removing Rear seats and sleeping platform

Postby striker99 on Mon Apr 17, 2017 8:36 am

Hi guys,

I'm planning a big trip soon and have been thinking about removing the rear seats (dual cab) for the trip, has anyone done this before? Any tips on the easiest way to take them out?

Also, I was curious and was doing some measurements, when you lie the front passenger seat flat i measure atleast 185cm from the front dash to the back wall so there seems to be more than enough length to make a flat sleeping platform that folds out has anyone tried that...? It seems the drivers side the steering wheel would be in the way, but for a single person looks like it would work.

I always remove the rear seats, MN, when on big trips as it opens up so much more room.
Just remember to put the bolts back in the holes as outback dirt finds its way in
I installed noise insulation foam on the back wall as road noise increased big time.
I love cats, but I couldn't eat a full one!
