Hi all, just wondering has anyone tried or willing to try the new generation of C5 0W-20 engine oil in your 4N15 Triton or Pajero Sport? I know someone may say stick with manual but if you know well C5 is the new gen oil for diesel engine and Toyota has now all moved to C5 engine oils.
I noticed official manual, including Castrol and Shell engine oil selctor has recommonded C2 0W-30 engine oil (0W-30 is not recommonded in AU manual as well) as best option for 4N15 engine.
New Toyota Prado, Hilux, LC200 and LC300 are now recommonded to use C5 0W-20 as best option now (however old 0W-30 and 5W-30 is still usable as Toyota's manaul), has anyone tried or going to try C5 0W-20 in your 4N15 engines? I may go for a try for my next oil change. Penrite C5 0W-20 or Toyota GR C5 0W-20 will be my try.
BTW, I see 7.3L including oil filter change is the recommonded capacity for the oil change on service manual and major engine oil brands suggestion websites. However, someone says 8.4L is correct, and everytime I went to MMA dealers, they always over fill my oil to the middle of LOW to MAX instead of LOW to FULL, some thoughts what's the best oil change capacity? Thank you all in advance for any contributes.
