They do drive nice. I currently have an mq manual and drove an mr auto. Steering back to back feels firmer and they're definently smoother in the rear.

Nice, I picked my Premium up last Friday, huge improvement over the MQ, so much tighter to drive.

I went to a off road camping expo etc, and I saw the new triton with a new alloy bull bar. first problem I saw was it covered up the headlights. Sure the bullbar had lights mount in the bull bar but it just didn't look right.

Yes we saw a model with a bull bar. Just did not suit the car and as mentioned took out the bottom lights and took the look away from the car. We will stick with the nudge bar that it comes with.

They have a problem on the Premium as the Nudge bar it comes with slightly covers a portion of the front camera, I think they will likely release a fix or bracket for it but how it was let out of the factory like this I’ll never know.

Saw the new MR today, worst looking front end out of all the 4x4 s at the four by show, what were they thinking?

Looked like it had run into a brick wall and the body work didn't bounce back afterwards.

Ugly bullbar pictures but interesting point about bull bars impeding autonomous braking. Be interesting to see if they bring out an off-road inspired model like the holiday rugged etc

We took one for a test drive with the nudge bar and the front camera looked ok but will check when we pick ours up.

I wonder how all these camera systems are going to cope with 'bug season'?

Cameras aren't much use with a thick layer of moths or grasshoppers splattered over them.

The model looked at yesterday had a camera in either side of the lower grill, which as well as the bug issue, is prone for animal strikes, stones from other vehicles and sticks, etc when four wheeling in the bush.

I have a Subaru with “Eyesight” which is a pair of cameras up near the rear view mirror, have had it turn off once during a torrential downpour.. I imagine if the windscreen was too dirty, road too foggy etc it would do the same, it certainly lets you know that it is off. In saying that, it was torrential rain that had most people pulling over to wait it out. Overall I think it’s a great system and if these systems save even one life they’re worth it.

The things either side are sonar/sensors, The camera is dead center.
The premium also has rear and under the side mirrors for 360 deg.

Picked up my GLS auto in Graphite Grey today. So much smoother than my previous MQ. They're a lot more settled over bumps etc. Steering is definently firmer/heavier. Already put a catch can on and a secondary fuel filter. Next canopy and run 12v into the tray and trailer plug for the Jayco

Nice scenery there lukeyboy,
Sambar, Red or Sika on top of the tray in the first photo?
Next two photos look like hydro canal at Tekapo or Twizel??
Just caught my eye because I've fished there a couple of times.
If I ever get another ute the MR is in the running I think based on reviews, specs and people's real life experiences.

I've just got a new motor on the mn 2000km ago plus new tyres. Fuel economy went from 11-11.5 L/100km with old motor (123,000km) to about 13 L/100km with new tyres and motor. Hopefully as the motor runs in it will get better.
I was thinking MR or a Hilux for the next ute if I get one (Hilux has more mods and stuff you can do to them....)
Didn't even occur to me that they were pigs on the tray in the first photo........
Bigger tyres, lift, bullbar etc do ruin the economy an bit.
