Lost 70 on the horses and dish lickers but waiting for dinner in newcastle made $75 on a pokie.

I can't believe how much better the truck behaves :D
Pictures tomoro when I have a chance to get some decent ones

The day by numbers
0330 wake up
2230 get home
7hrs gambling time
$15 Thai beef salad at the general Roberts in newcastle
$400 biggest pokie win
$18 trifeca
Atleast 15 winners that placed 2nd
3trees of tab tickets
1000000 times I said stiffy coz I got excited about every bump on the road home
656.6km
1whole tank of diesel
1 suspected Newtriton owners spotted gibbo I overtook on the freeway
0 the amount of pretty women spotted :O
And 2 more inches

Best money spent by far just need some 265/70/17s to fill up some gaps now

New lights after some jerkbag stole my last set.. It was pissing down rain on a Monday night and took my $18 superheap driving lights but left the stainless steel aerial mounts and massive pipe clamps and my HID lights at the front now with the anti theft nuts on.

So my latest improved system has the nut welded on to the thread and the screwdriver slot drilled out.. Yea I know it's not going to be easy to get off even for me but I have the time and tools to do it..

Such an inconvenience.. But I have lights again

All though i have no images and there is a co incidence why, my terrible rushed in the dark wiring is "temporarily" in.

big thanx to boycee for the HID lights, no thanx to boycee for mod in the dark and more blood from scrapped knuckles in my engine bay. and id just like to voice my opinion of God DAmn WIRing LOOMS!! Man i hate them. when i get back into the engine bay to clean it up i will do another decent loom. i really hate them

but on a happier after 2 hours, about 1hr of that was dedicated to rookie errors which i like to call "learning the hard way" now i have a better understanding of H4 headlights.
also a couple of days ago i got my Wet Seat seat covers. they are pretty good, only thing im not happy with is the location of the Velcro straps. its as if they are designed to suit an array of vehicles but about 2 inch in one directions they would have pulled in pefect as if it was OEM. but they suit they purpose and still happy with them

In my absence of driving i have a little to report.. some Jerkbag thru a brick out of their moving car and hit the side of my ute. and i get the phone call today saying its ready to be picked up.

To the sadness of a few the triton has returned back to its original function as Dirtbike packhorse and fetcher when Dirtbikes are broken down.. So this means no more tray, but instead in the search for a ML tub with Hard top has initiated but still if i havent found a tub in the next 6 months ill get a pretty new tray. so that means less trips

but to the enjoyment of some, i will still attend the odd event.

next mods Snorkel which its about 3 overdue.. 3 times too many water in the airbox events and 32" bighorns.

Jamo's Build (image heavy)

Postby JamoGLXR on Tue Sep 06, 2011 12:37 pm

Well it's been a while, and while I'm sitting at parramatta hooters letting my food digest, waiting on Brendan or the ultimate team to call (no rush not a bad view) about the extended brake lines to be finished. Ive been a little less focused on the triton lately since having no licence but none the less I did get a safari snorkel installed on the 2nd of sept, I feel no write up is needed I got outoftown4wd to install it and a nice job done too.. Love that induction sound.
Anywho with the 350exc-f on the scene the triton returns to the fetcher of stuck/broken bikes. That was it's secondary task from the get go. Which means I'll still have to learn techniques of 4wding and kit it out for eventual long range touring.

Anyways off to the ingleburn hotel to kill the rest of the Arvo

Enjoy triton brothers and sisters

Coming from the last mod.. snorkel not much to report there apart from me needing one since i dive into water like Miss winehouse into coke. Ive been looking a mod that will set me a little different from the rest.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/COMPACT-10-P ... 1e65accf80

i was thinking LED strip lighting but i want to bolt it in no stick it on, then i was thinking white marker lights but they might get damaged a bit living under the triton. so a quick ebay search of Rock crawling lights came up with the above. the idea was they are boltable and also fairly well recessed into the Al housing.. is hoping from the Picture anyways.

As much as the missus hates me offroading at night and i might get some strange looks everynow n then. they wont be on the side steps used as clearance lights more lighting up the ground underneath. where i am going to put them exactly.. u will see in time because i dont know yet.

Whats your thoughts people?

any time Daryn, im bound to have a good idea its the law of averages :D

i have a 40 series cruiser as my desktop image and been staring at it aimlessly for months, i kept on thinking what would the big boys do? i found them before but dismissed them albeit the ones i found first up were a single LED and shined phenomenal amount of light but they were actually Professional ones

Jamo's Build (image heavy)

Postby JamoGLXR on Mon Oct 10, 2011 5:05 pm

Slight update. Led work lights are up and running. Now a cool 12w of lighting instead of 220w. I'm expecting a fair bit less efficiency especially as they are mainly reversing lights with the heavy tint. But I'd rather that then having all my mates using my them as work lights not underage ing the draw and sucking my battery flat.

12core cable ran for rock crawling lights and future relays just need time sort out where I want them mounted.. Stay tuned

rock crawling lights in action

surprisingly good light, i cant get a good shot yet. the ute is down the side of my house and i cant exactly get a good shot of the lights in action. but as you can see the contrast between the shadow cast by the wheel. you can barely make out the rim design. ill need a tripod too. low light is pushing the exposure time out and im too shakey.. more pictures to come :) only 2 months 21day to go :D :D

on other news, im ditching the 2nd set of rims in favour of 1 set with 2 spares. so the phasing process begins from the ATZ 4ribs to Duratracs. trying to source them locally but i might have to import them myself. i believe they will be that fine line between AT and MT. Is hoping anyway.

I also lost a knob for the soft torneau loop.. i had a length of rope over the edge of the tub and tied on one end so as i reversed it tensioned up and popped the rivet out :( just another reason for a tray

cant wait to get back in the helm.. might even think about delivering the rims myself im that keen to drive.
