Firstly, go to the main settings screen on your unit and make sure that the language is set to English. I hope you haven't been into WinCE and changed language settings in there
Second, it looks like the configuration files may be pointing to files that either aren't there or have different names.
When you select Navigation from the main menu it should point to a file called SysInfoSettings in the Desktop folder. This file contains this:Skin/Main.ini
The file Main.ini should contain something like this:GLOBALSETTINGS

Your version of the street navigation program may have a different name so you may need to change so it points to the correct file. You probably should also change back the name of the .bmp file that you changed. It is probably needed for something else and by changing its' name you've created the reason why the program just keeps "resetting".
I hope you made a backup copy of everything on the SD card before you started changing things. If you did, then copy the backup back on to the SD card. If you didn't then I hope you have a very good memory.
