Ok...
So this was my 4th body lift on a Triton... And by far the worst
After the body Lift, I felt the steering was tight... As if I had no power steering... In fact, it was worse than no power steering...
I initially thought that its a bit stiff and just needs a few km's to loosen up... After 50km, it was still bad and I decided to investigate...
So, with the body lift, it seems that the steering shaft coming through the firewall, was pinched against the body... The angle was completely off...
Now, with all my previous Tritons, this was never a problem... So I don't know what was changed on the new Triton... Maybe a complete new steering coloumn ???
So, to fix this, I had to fabricate a bracket in order to "re-locate" the existing steering bracaket...
After the bracket was installed, the steering wheel was now not straight (when driving straight)... I did not want to mess with the airbag and remove steering wheel to re-alaign it, so I disconnected the steering shaft inside the engine compartment and did the adjustment there as accurate as possible... It is still out a LITTLE bit... But I can now have it fixed with a wheel alignment....
So now... bracket is installed and all is well with the steering
