EDIT: Note, I'm talking about the MAP sensor (Manifold Absolute Pressure)
not the MAF sensor (Mass Air Flow)
Previously had an 08 BT-50 and I mostly posted on the 4wdaction forums. There's a massive thread or 2 about using MAF sensor cleaner on gunked up MAP sensors, and the very noticeable benefits of keeping it clean. Loads of horrible pictures of people's MAP sensors looking like they'd been dipped in tar. I pulled mine out & was surprised how bad mine was. Several squirts of CRC MAF sensor cleaner, and it re-vitalised the BT. Couldnt believe how much difference it made to smoothness & restored power, and probably a bit of economy.
As a new MN owner, with catch can and EGR block, I shouldnt have to do this much. But there must be loads of people with 50k + on the clock who should probably do this every once in a while. Did some searching but couldn't find much info on it here.
Do Triton owners not bother? Do the ML & MN not suffer the same fate as the BT/Ranger?
If interested, page 2 & 3 of this forum thread cover the basics including some good before and after photos of MAP cleaning.

Might be something worth discussing.
