Racor 2 micron secondary fuel filter with flow indicator. Plumbed in after the factory filter. ;-)

We should swap one of our spotie covers each
then we could have one blue and one red ...great for peak hour traffic....
Shouldn't both diff ratios be the same? fwd and aft...?
I thought you had front lockers...already..

Ha just realised that the led is reflecting in the your spot light lens...looks like covers..

Out with the old stock exhaust and in with the new 3" Scotts Rod.

In stock tune the new exhaust made NO difference in power at all. :roll: :lol: EGTs were down about 80 degrees though and sounded better. 8-)

With the chipit plugged in there were noticeable gains in top end power. 8-)

Yeah I swapped out the pinion and crown gear in the rear diff at the same time. And yeah I did all this over a year and half ago now. All part of the update. :roll:

While on the exhaust subject, last month I decided it wasn't loud enough so I chopped out the hiflow muffler and installed a hotdog resonator. So much better! :lol:
Still not too loud at idle but really barks loud when you up it! 8-)
No annoying droning at highway speeds either. Do get a much louder dosing sound from turbo too which is nice. ;-)

I can't remember exactly because I ordered it from the USA. Think it was about $350 including shipping with 6x spare screw on replacement filters. Shared the shipping cost with a few other blokes.

Sorry no pics of the actual locker goin in.. I had a diff specialist install the center. ;-)
And yeah I'm very happy with 4wd Supplies air locker, Forum sponsor.;-)

18ltr hot water storage tank made from 150mm plumbing pipe, mounts under tray and is fed from an inline pump through a heat exchanger in the engine bay.
Has temp gauge and water level indicator that hooks up to the slide on camper. This's my wifes most favorite modification to date. :roll:

Has over temp cut out on the tank incase I forget to turn the pump off. Water can only get to 65degrees. ;-)

With this setup we switch the pump on just before camp. Water stays hot for hours due to extra insulation around tank.. we usually wait till the water is around the 40 degrees before having showers. We can get two or three short showers each or two long showers if not worried about saving water.
I have multiple hose connections and valves so I can pump water from a stream or from our main freshwater tank. Works very well.
Oh and only take about 10min to heat up to 60degrees while driving. 8-)

After cracking our stock fuel tank during our outback travels I decide to bite the bullet and purchase a HD BrownDavis long rang tank.

Used silver solder to repair the crack. The repair only lasted another 8000kms before it cracked again in a totally different spot? The tank was severely fatigued so we ended up finding a replacement stock tank at a wreckers in Broome. :roll:

Once we returned home I ordered the Brown Davis 135ltr tank. The standard tanks are just rubbish and are not suitable for extream outback travel. Should have done this in the beginning. :roll:

I ditched the aux polly fuel tank too. This was mounted to the underside of the tray. Less weight on the tray now. :)

Nice work and from what I've seen in the raw flesh as to say, a lot of thought has gone into this one. 8-)

Can't wait to see how it turns out with the planed weight loss. Damned if I know how your going to do it but no doubt you'll find a way.

Anyway in the end it wasn't a fault with the tank but with the factory mountings. Not all Tritons are made same.:roll:
Lowered the tank down with the floor Jack and used a die-grinder to elongate the mounting holes to move the tank across 8mm. Job done.;-)

Bloody tyres didn't think so. :lol:

I've calculated a total loss of only 150-200kgs for our next trip... This means we could still be over the GVM :?
Have got the loading better sorted now with more of the weight up front.
I've also strengthened the chassis mounting posts and lowered the rear tray by almost 40mm to help lower its center of gravity. I fabricated a stronger steel frame to support the alloy tray and used rubber pads to the chassis mounts to stop it cracking. ;-)
Hell if it brakes it brakes, you can buy my motor and gear box. :lol:
