yep, tis only an hour away and thats coming in the side door. too much traffic on the tourist rd. they are logging right up the back so the back door "carters trail" has evolved. ill need to follow it from the tops out one day.

im also planning on a little trip to discover more of the east and southern side. i cant know what its tho. it might be logging trails it might be hectic..

Hi Jarmo
Are you talking bout the northern side of the barrington tops road..great tracks there..
Chichester state forest and Alyn river state forests are great spots to camp.....and 4x4..
The Gloucester river and tops are great but nat park and soft roader stuff.
At the tops their is a camp and 4x4 park.(private )...but very popular so you have to book.
its beautifull country and heaps of waterXlings

Nice work mate.

A little trick is to attach the guy ropes to the bottom of your ladder. You dont have to worry about pegging them down then.

;)

how are the tyres going bud?

I'm looking to get a set, but my local dealer has a set sitting in the rack ready to slide on if I cough up the cash... (even has a spare I can get cheap as he had a customer but a hole in the side wall and order a new pair)

yep, i still rate. they deal with sand, rocks, wood mud and tar just fine.

i just comeback from a weekend at bylong creek again. they had 8mm of rain and all the tracks turned to slop. The TSR's performed brilliantly. the winch had a good workout. photos will explain when i get a copy from my mates.

after around 20 thousand km ~2/3 tread still on them id still buy them.

Hey mate never got back round for a beer sat night but sounded like u guys having fun! Mrs fell over drunk and hurt her leg so didn't hang around Sunday either lol. That is a hell of a place, first time there, waiting on some sliders and a rear bar at the minute so didn't go too mad on the tracks.

Your correct it's a walking trek no track yet. I myself didn't walk up but the blokes were saying It's about 45min (with abseiling gear) and nothing rediculously steep either. It would have been awesome at sunset.
