Show us your gauges

Show us your gauges

Postby har05l on Thu Aug 14, 2014 1:20 am

I've just spent the last hour looking through multiple threads and couldn't find a designated gauges thread so for those that have them please give us a look ;)

There seems to be a "show us your" everything else :?

If this has been covered then please point me in the right direction :)

I too am keen to see some gauge porn,

Although I bought the double gauge pod back when the GB was happening I have not yet installed it or purchased gauges to fill her, perhaps this thread will inspire me

Pretty sure there were a few gauge pics after the pillar pod group buy. I thought it might even have had its own thread.

Yeah mate not being critical I was thinking out loud on the phone in a lift. Maybe we could lift some of the images though and copy them in here so we have more gauge porn?

I have one gauge at present which is a VDO auto temp gauge with red backlight from wholesale autos. I bought a pillar pod in the group buy and recently returned it for the newer MN model but have heard nothing more from them. Assuming it ever comes back I am a bit stuck for what my second gauge should be so this thread could prove just the prompt I need to get off my rear end.

Engine guages

Postby Mayhem2015 on Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:11 am

A few blokes getting onboard so thought I would start a thread.

I just got an EDS brand engine gauge. Not sure where to mount it so keen to see where other people have theirs mounted. I have a couple of ideas but want to sort all the brain silt out before I install it. If other people have it in and have it in a place that works that will be a big help and I will no longer be guessing.

Would love to see your pics. Keen to get my unit in.

I've got racetech boost & EGT fairly happy do the job.

I am however instigating if these http://www.aeroforcetech.com/products_order_mitsubishi.html will work with the MN OBD2. Had them in my SS and are an excellent digital gauge, up to 4 parameters at a time with dual gauges and programmable warning lights and sounds, recall and record. On the pricey side but can vouch worth the money.

Has anyone done anything like this?

I borrowed the image from Facebook a while back. If memory serves the guy paid to have it made in qld somewhere.

I'm looking for alternatives to a pillar mount for a two or 3 gauge setup.

Something like that could work. Ideally though I was thinking it should be angled to the right. Most of the options I found were either straight or angled left for lhd.

yeah supercheap sell clip in versions for both the commodore and the falcon. I reckon i could graft them on if I put my mind to it. But I also think I can put them up where the RV meter was before, enclosed within the housing maybe?

Has anyone used the Autotecnica digital gauges before?
I was contemplating getting these because they're similar to the Redarc where they cater for multiple systems all within the one gauge however they're significantly cheaper in price. I was considering the dual EGT/BOOST and then the Water Temp/Oil Pressure.
The third gauge could then become the Automatic Transmission Temperature.

Yeah, I fitted the EGT/boost gauge to a mate's Cruiser. He is very happy with it.
