I come from a Holden Astra and that one has got a feature I miss on the Triton (GL-R 2.5 DID MN Auto MY10 here) - the instrument cluster is being lit bright by day (perfect visibility even in sunshine) and if you switch on headlights (for dark) it dims down so you don't get dazzled by them.
Now onto the Triton MN - even the brightest cluster light setting is too dark for me by day, so I'd like to check what I can do about it LED wise... the switching between day/night is solvable as I can get to the potentiometer that controls this easily.
The light of the cluster is delivered by SMD LEDs soldered onto the front of the pcb where I can only get to the back currently (the ML cluster picture some posts above doesn't resemble mine).
I got the cluster out but can't for the life of me get the needles of the gauges easily (pulling with some force didn't work, can't see any snap ins or other hold-back mechanics).
So anyone here knows how to get the needles of without destruction?
