Mn Triton Build

Postby braydenc on Sat Jan 23, 2016 3:17 pm

Hi Everyone,

Just bought my Triton 2 weeks ago and thought I would share it on here,

MN 2012 Dual Cab
Canopy factory Mitsubishi
245-70-16 tires UPGRADING to 265-75-16
Alloy wheels
Manual
34,000 ks
everything is pretty much stock so far

Things I have done to it already 7-inch Touch head-unit basic Ebay unit with reverse camera
Boost and Voltage Gauge
Roof Rack ARB on the way
Awning is on the way
LED 22inch bar on the way

Just bought some Tred recovery tracks and compressor due to a lot of beach driving I do.
I am mainly trying to turn this car into a long distance touring Ute so Drawers with a waeco will get in there as well as full kitchen facility's so I can be self sufficient.

sorry for the filthy photo just after two rocks day after I bought it.

Nothing to say sorry about braydenc, that's what it's all about, getting outdoors and getting them dirty.

Did you do the whole snow foam deal or just a TFR?

At this stage no point doing snow foam untill I get the paint info shape but normally I would foam two bucket with the foam gun shooting into the mitt as I clean to reduce swirls.

Installed the boost gauge and dual battery gauge mounting them in cups changed my mind with the pod pillar design...

Also done a full detail on her no more swirls or scratch marks from the trees but there is plenty more to come when I go on my next trip  only thing I have noticed is the rear diff is leaking a very very slow leak wondering if I should replace the seals or but a replacement kit.

Depends where it is leaking from. They had an issue where the rear diffs were leaking from the filler hole up top. Their fix was to reduce the amount of diff oil they put in so that it doesn't get up near that opening as much as it did before. If it's coming from there I'd probably leave it unless it is staining your driveway or something.
