Glxr Build

Thought I'd start a build thread, it's a 2013 manual Glx-r. Bought it brand new.

Thanks guys. It's about to get a bit more love next week too.

I had speed liner installed when I bought it. Love it. Would never own a ute without it now

That's the spray on stuff yeah? How much different is it to a tub liner. I like the liner because I can just slide things in and it looks like it might not be possible with the spray on. But I have a Maloo as well and was thinking of doing it to that.

Yeh it's the spray in stuff. It's got a texture kind of like bitumen. So it's non slip and real hard to scratch.

Picked it up from TJM Sunbury, spent some serious coin with their sale on.

Few toys got added:
T13 bullbar
9500lb TJM winch
TJM snorkel
TJM lift

Apparently the rear came up 70mm, not surprised as I'd overloaded it a few times and there is 0 weight in the tub at the moment.
And the front 35mm, not too bad with a big bar and winch on there.

Very happy with everything so far. Away for the weekend so will report back if I get to try it out in anger.

At this stage ill be keeping them and swapping between the two sets of wheels. Theyve only done 10k km!

Will see how the mud tyres go and how often they stay on the car. Might end up eventually selling the 697s.

Yeh sorry mate. They went before I got the rims.

Tyres fitted to wheels and fitted to car to test out. Feel a bit more floaty than the 697s (may just be they've pumped them up more than I'm used to) and a definite hum, interested to see how noisey they get at 100km/h.

Looking good mate! Rock sliders were a worthwhile investment for me, especially after seeing the damage that could have happened on some tracks to my mate.

Yeh the factory steps had copped some abuse and it was only a matter of time until they were totalled.
