They have no long motors so they say.
So Ill be getting a short motor ( full bottom end & head but using my old valves & cams ).
This will be a lot bigger than a 3 day turn around unlike they said. This car will be limping its way through water for the next few months. I'll not be topping this up, wait till it really goes & drive the shit box back in, leaking oil & any coolant left over.
Jungas wrote:I'm going through this at the moment. Basic history is I have a 2013 triton I purchased in may 2013. Modified with all the normal stuff from day 1, bullbar, spotlights, winch, tyre lift etc. all was going good for the first 30k until one Easter i was towing my camper up to dargo and I overheated it in spectacular fashion, coolant everywhere and family stranded on the side of the road. Was towed to sale and then eventually back to frankston Mitsubishi. After a week or so the engine testing showed the head was pitted from factory and the pulled the entire engine out, sent to engineer to have the head re-machined flat and then engine put back together and back on the road. All was fine for about another 30k or so until I had another overheating episode but not as bad this time, took back to dealer and they did the recall works to deal with the issues being had by quite a few. Again car seemed ok for another 12 months or so, towing, normal driving, tough 4wding etc. last week car dumped coolant again whilst driving unloaded, and cruising on a country backroad at about 100. Back to dealer and they did tests for 2 days, response is there is nothing wrong with the car and any issues must be as a result of my bullbar and driving lights obstructing airflow. 2 days after recieving back it has dumped coolant again...... for the third time.
I'm so over the issues as I have built up and generally really love the car
Mmal just push me back to the dealer and the dealer thinks that everything is ok despite the history of problems ??
I'm in and think I'm going to have to get a second opIon before i lodge a formal complaint, anyone got a good cooling specialist or mechanic they know and would recommend???

I HAVE NOW ALSO EMAILED THE CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE ON THE WED SITE. I'm SURE THEY WILL GIVE ME A CALL OR EMAIL ME. NOT.
SO APPROX 10 WEEKS OF THEM SMILLING & PROMISING HEAPS WITH NO DELIVERY. WILL BE THE END RESULT HERE.
YOU WOULD THINK THAT MMAL WOULD BE BETTER HERE TO KEEP CUSTOMERS FROM GIVING NEGATIVE REVIEWS. THIS IS MY THIRD MITSUBISHI & MOST LIKELY MY LAST.
Sorry for cap, Not shouting Much.
