OR, they are mitigating against expensive warranty repairs, wether this be noticeable to the owner or not. As I said earlier, they where put there for a reason, certainly not for style or off road enhancement. Either way I would have the damper attached if going in for a service.

Dave. If you reckon the blokes doing a service would actually notice that the mass damper had been removed, I think you are kidding yourself.
GLS MQ Triton, ARB Summit front, rear and side bars, Carryboy canopy and rack, Dobinson heavy duty suspension, Harrop rear E-locker, Drifta drawers and a few other bits and pieces.

The positioning of the 'dog dick' suggests a vibration getting generated around the rear uni.

If its needed, why not mount it over the tail shaft?

There is another Thread about this, opinions differ, some, like Tony. say throw them away, others try to reason why Mitsi would put them there (yes we know for vibration, but to what extent and possible negative outcome), was a good post from some member that deals in this type of thing. Worth a search.

Its a vibration dampener for the tailshaft

It's a Triton getting a boner when it spots a RAM! :lol:

A stupid addition. Should have been designed the be alongside or over the driveshaft if it's actually necessary.
