Show us your 12 V plugs / Power distribution setup

Postby Kevin Vermaak on Mon Apr 16, 2018 2:57 pm

G’day everyone.

I am in the process of extending the wiring from the second battery in the engine bay to the tub. There are a few posts on how to get the wiring to the tub, but there isn’t much on how the wire is distributed, so I thought would be a good opportunity for get some idea of what everyone else has done? Please show us your power board / power distribution / plugs / wiring setup.

Thanks

Photo of my distribution box. Blue seas safety hub for positive, powerpost for negative. Both wired back to second battery under bonnet.

At the moment power to charge camper trailer’s battery and to power fridge via anderson plug is all that’s connected. Planning what I’ll be running up to the tub at the moment.

Very nice Intruder. Where do you plug your accessories in?

This is just a fuse box that I can then run power from for accessories. Will be running power up into the tub from this, just planning what at the moment. Probably something like this intitially, http://www.home12volt.com.au/cb---cau.html, and some LED lights for canopy. Will see where we end up from there.

Just updated mine with a few extra plugs. Controller and fuse box located in two seperate junction boxes fixed to underside of aluminium tray. I bought a "battery guard" low voltage cut out from Jaycar.
