Are the axles the same on a rear lsd and non lsd differential on a 2013 mn ,3.9 ratio

2013 LSD? No such thing, in Australia at least.

Some very early MNs had LSD rears but this was dropped when ASC became mandatory.

Maybe if you tell us exactly what is the problem or intent/plan someone here may be able to advise you.

LSD retro fitted to a mn with traction control has been done and worked well, fraz was the person so check his posts.

But he also fitted 4.1 ml diff ratios.

As far as I know the lsd and open diff use the same length axles, there is only a difference when talking about factory lockers and axle length

My 2011 MN 2.5l glx 2wd single cab had a lsd - hybrid type 3.917 ratio
Tha' can allus tell a Yorkshireman, but tha' can't tell 'im much

I sourced an LSD from an earlier model Triton and installed it in my 2013 MN a while back (maybe 4-5 years ago now).

Just be aware there are two sizes off differential centre, both have a different number of bolts to mount to the housing and both have different spline count.

I just climbed under the car worked out I had the larger unit, confirmed the ratio and then sourced one from a wrecker that was a direct fit.

Was a good noticeable improvement in traction.
